Free Rights

As everyone knows about the people that have copyrights on things, taking music for example, there are the ones that feel they should get every dime they think they deserve where there are artists that think hey i can get myself out there to the world and get discovered and become famous. Can this idea take a great stand today and change the way that Copyrights are viewed and used today?
